There’s something you need to know…

The postpartum years have been greatly misunderstood.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that dysfunction, dis-ease, and dis-regulation are a normal part of motherhood.

WHY is this happening?

  • Why are so many women struggling with mental health and autoimmune diseases?
  • Why are we and our mothers and providers not being taught this information?
  • And most importantly, how can we heal and prevent this in the first place?

We support evidence-based practice, traditional and ancestral care, and women’s wisdom. We believe that in order to experience deep health and healing in the years postpartum, providers will have to change how they approach postpartum care.

About Maranda Bower

postpartum nutrition certification

Maranda Bower is the CEO and Founder of Postpartum University®, supporting both mothers and professionals in health and whole body healing.

She is a renowned expert and top educator in the fields of functional nutrition and coaching in relation to postpartum and nicknamed the “Womb Whisperer”. Named as a best-selling author, international speaker, and has appeared in over 50+ publications.

She began her journey studying biology and has also completed coursework in psychology specializing in maternal mental health. She also holds certifications as a Childbirth Educator, Pre and Post Natal Fitness Instructor, Pre and Post Natal Nutrition Specialist, and Perinatal Mental Health Specialist.

Maranda also served her community as a doula, and worked as a board member of two organizations, developing tools and support services for aspiring birth workers as well as creating local events and awareness around all things postpartum.

Her work has led her to international speaking engagements focused on postpartum nutrition, hormones, and postpartum autoimmune disorders across university classrooms, conferences, and radio shows.

Not only has Maranda worked in the field for well over a decade, she is also the mother of 4 children, where she experienced pregnancy and postpartum depression, anxiety, postpartum bi-polar, rage, and an autoimmune diagnosis.

Those experiences positively shaped her research and career, expanding the realities of what little support, knowledge, and understanding providers and mothers alike have to life after baby. With the birth of her fourth child, Maranda had gone on to master both the modern and ancestral knowledge and embodiment of recovery and well-being by experiencing a blissful postpartum, full autoimmune healing, and no mental, emotional, or physical health challenges. Postpartum University® exists because of her passion to support other’s in deep radical health and healing.

She lives on her beautiful 40-acre homestead in Alaska with her husband and 4 children where she gardens, quilts, dreams of horses, and raises an unruly flock of chickens.
