We believe that healing mothers heals the world.

By addressing the root causes of postpartum challenges—nutrient depletion, hormonal imbalance, and beyond—we’re creating lasting change in families, communities, and generations to come.

We partner with postpartum care professionals—doulas, midwives, therapists, nutritionists, and more—providing education, certifications, and resources to elevate their expertise and impact. Together, we’re redefining postpartum health as a cornerstone of thriving motherhood.

About Maranda Bower

A Pioneer in Postpartum Health

I began this journey 15 years ago, grappling with postpartum depression, anxiety, and a string of autoimmune diagnoses. As a mother of four, I lived through the struggle that so many mothers face—feeling unsupported and misunderstood during one of life’s most pivotal transitions.

Determined to find answers, I turned to what I knew best already: science, culture, and ancestral wisdom. I immersed myself in research, collaborated with healers, and mastered the art of postpartum healing. What began as a personal quest grew into a calling that I was able to throw my expertise into: to provide mothers and professionals with the tools to reclaim postpartum wellness.

Soon, word spread. Mothers were healing—coming off antidepressants, reversing thyroid conditions, and thriving in ways they never thought possible. Providers began reaching out, eager to know the methods behind these transformations. That’s when Postpartum University® was born.

This course provided the missing information I've been searching for...

around the physiological changes that occur in postpartum and how to support mothers with that. There is a huge gap in postpartum nutrition in my profession and I hope this will help me raise awareness around the needs of mothers during this critical life stage.

Amy M., Registered Dietitian

Helped further my knowledge of the needs of postpartum mothers greatly!

This program was very well put together and helped further my knowledge of the needs of postpartum mothers greatly! As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, this important information wasn't a part of my education making me grateful for this specific opportunity to expand my knowledge and help the special population of postpartum mothers.

Brittany N., Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, MBA

I've already recommended this program to several colleagues and will continue to do so.

As a midwife I am quite familiar with nutritional recommendations for healthy pregnancy and resolving or minimizing common symptoms. I wasn't given much guidance on postpartum other than making sure to talk about the mom's support system. Maranda's program has given me the knowledge to shift my postpartum nutrition recommendations into what aligns more with what I know of traditional postpartum recommendations. Before knowing how the gut functions postpartum I felt that I couldn't give specific recommendations to clients postpartum other than "some cultures do this but just make sure to eat healthy," especially when so many moms are looking forward to a specific meal or treat.

Emily P., BA in Theology, CPM, LM

It's this holistic reminder and emphasis that sets this program apart from other postpartum nutrition courses.

This program really illustrates that how we nourish ourselves during the postpartum period deeply impacts so many areas of life not only for the mother, but for the child and those around her. What we eat, how we care for ourselves, the culture and traditions we honor, and the space we give one another during this time of transition and becoming, are all vital aspects of the synergistic healing that takes place through implementation of what is being taught here.

Heather M., MS Applied Clinical Nutrition

This program has dramatically positively impacted my business.

The wealth of knowledge I obtained is invaluable. This program single-handedly reshaped my entire postpartum business. Nourishing mothers have to be the number one focus in postpartum care.

Karen G., AS, & DONA CBD

Maranda Bower is an absolute delight!

Her vast knowledge, along with dedication to science and research makes this course invaluable for anyone serving clients in the postpartum period. She manages to synthesize a huge amount of complex information into easy to understand bites. I am so grateful to have found this course and highly recommend it to anyone wishing to deepen their insights into postpartum healing.

Lisa N., B.A., English

As someone who has always been interested in nutrition and whole body wellness, this program was exactly what I was looking for...

in moving forward in my doula business. For me as a birth and postpartum doula, this certification is the piece that connects all the dots for nurturing my clients back optimal health so that mom, baby and family are thriving. Thank you Maranda for all your knowledge, wisdom and mentoring me towards my goal.

Shelley S., Community Care Licencing Officer Program

This certification has given me so much clarity in how to help my future clients.

I feel like I can easily point out what foods are nourishing and not nourishing to a postpartum body, as well as how to prepare them. This is my favorite certification of 4 that I have taken (3 related to postpartum). It is rich, the physiology makes sense, and I am so happy to serve women with food in a way that is supportive and with integrity. As a nutrition major, I am saddened that my classes do not even go as in depth as this certification did for postpartum nutrition. We mainly went over nutrients and the importance of breastfeeding. My experience speaks to the value and need of this information being accessible. I appreciate the emphasis on culture, access, and privilege that Mrs. Maranda made as well as the fact that we need to believe in our services. I appreciate Mrs. Maranda and her team!

Simone W., Certified Pre and Postnatal Coach

Maranda has a knowledge about postpartum nutrition that is unsurpassed.

As an herbalist I know that food and herbs are medicine and are vital in healing but after I became a doula I realized there was so little information on food in postpartum. What Maranda is teaching is vital knowledge for any doula or professional dealing with postpartum women. The Postpartum Nutrition Plan should be standard "going home" material with every woman who leaves a hospital with a baby (just like formula samples and blankets). This was an investment that will benefit my clients for years to come.

Stefanie Lyn, Madriella Certified Birth Doula & Certified Postpartum Doula

I look forward to the teaching aspect of this in my business and spreading the word to all women.

I really loved this program. It was something that I had been peiceing together for years on my own and loved having it all together and easy to explain to clients. I look forward to the teaching aspect of this in my business and spreading the word to all women. I think that my ideas and goals at the beginning of the program have changed more just because I have a better understanding of this certificate and how to incorporate into my business. I believe at the same time Im going to be surprised where this takes me and how it grows. I am very thankful for the oppurtunity to learn with this Miranda and this group.

Tawni G., Fertility, Birth and Postpartum Doula , Lactation Educator

This program is over the top informative!

Maranda has done an excellent job not only in doing her research, but being able to teach this information in such a digestible manner. her passion for this subject matter is unmatched! As a doula, I cannot wait to implement this with my clients. I have seen so many women suffer through postpartum simply because of a lack of information. I’m excited to do my part to help reduce those numbers any way I can.

As a mother of three, I have suffered from autoimmunity after having my second baby, and this type of information is exactly what I needed at the time to heal myself from the conditions that came after having a baby. Even though I am technically 10 years postpartum, I plan to implement some of these new strategies to attempt to heal my body even now.

Tenáj I., Elite Labor, Postpartum and Infant Care Doula

Maranda has such a reassuring and nonjudgemental way of presenting the information.

There is no end to the fantastic information contained in this course. Maranda has such a reassuring and nonjudgemental way of presenting the information, helping you see HOW you can implement it in your practice in a way that meets your desires for your business as well as meets the needs of your clients. She takes the science and breaks it down so that those of us who are not scientists can make sense of and make application of it. She and her team are also highly responsive to questions. I appreciated this course very much.

Marlo K., certified postpartum doula

In putting the knowledge and skills learned in this certification into practice for myself I have healed symptoms that I didnt even know I was experiencing.

Whilst I have gained an indescribable about of knowledge to go forth in building a business and supporting my clients, what I wanted to share more than anything was the change that I MYSELF have experienced through this certification. In putting the knowledge and skills learned in this certification into practice for myself I have healed symptoms that I didnt even know I was experiencing. I have completely healed my postpartum rage & my nervous system is much more regulated. I am no longer looking for an energy boost at 3pm (or a nap) and to be honest, I dont know the last time I felt this good. I am finding it so so much easier to be the mother to my children that I aspire to be and that they deserve and I just cannot believe how rubbish I used to feel without realising and how much that was impacting me.

Stephanie G., Health Coaching & Midwifery

Maranda's style is accesible and engaging and I loved the way that she backed up her knowledge with solid research.

The icing on the cake was receiving a copy of her fantastic Postparutm Nutrition Plan which I will use regularely to support my clients in their homes so that they feel truly nourished and nurtured. Thanks again Maranda, I feel so grateful for your wisdom and expertise

JoJo H.

As a pre/postnatal chiropractor, I am beyond impressed with Maranda's Postpartum Certification content.

It aligns with my thinking and knowledge that most of the dietary information given nowadas is inaccurate and simply not what our bodies are meant to eat to thrive! Postpartum mamas need our support and knowledge to fuel their bodies as they reover and flourish into motherhood. This certification course is well rounded, easy to follow and eye-opening and need to be shared with women everywhere.
