Why Interview Maranda?
She challenges assumptions.
Rather than repeating conventional advice, Maranda reframes postpartum through physiology, leaving audiences thinking differently long after the conversation ends.
Why We Keep Getting Postpartum Wrong
We've spent decades asking why mothers are anxious, exhausted, inflamed, and struggling with thyroid issues after birth. Maranda argues we've been starting with the wrong question entirely. When you start with postpartum physiology instead of postpartum symptoms, everything looks different — and the path forward becomes clear in a way it never was before.

Why "Normal" Doesn't Mean Healthy
Postpartum exhaustion. Hair loss. Anxiety. Digestive dysfunction. Feeling like a stranger in your own body. We've normalized all of it. Maranda makes the case that common and physiologically normal are not the same thing — and that the distinction changes everything about how we support mothers and what we can actually prevent.
For audiences interested in: maternal health, nutrition, hormones, mind-body medicine, women's advocacy
The Missing Physiology Behind Maternal Mental Health
We talk about postpartum depression as if it lives only in the brain. Maranda has spent 15 years tracing how we accidentally separated the mind from the body in postpartum care — and what happens when we put them back together. This conversation sits at the intersection of nutrition, inflammation, neuroscience, and physiology, and it consistently changes the way listeners think about mental health.

Maranda Bower is asking the question postpartum care forgot to ask.
Maranda Bower founded Postpartum University® after discovering that the postpartum period — one of the most physiologically complex events in a woman's life — was being met with a six-week checkup and a prescription. What followed was 15 years of research, a global training organization operating in 55+ countries, and a body of work that has quietly changed how thousands of providers understand maternal recovery.
She is not a wellness voice. She is a scientist who speaks plainly, a researcher who follows the evidence wherever it leads, and a communicator who makes complex physiology feel urgent and human. Her conversations don't start with symptoms. They start with the question underneath the symptoms — and that's what makes them impossible to stop thinking about.
