As a professional in the field, you are not only witnessing the rise of chronic health concerns in the years postpartum, you've probably experienced them yourself, too.
  • 7 of every 10 women are prescribed prescription drugs in pregnancy.

  • More than 30% of women in postpartum will be diagnosed with a mental health disorder.

  • Women are at a 28% increased risk of developing a postpartum autoimmune disease in the first year after birth.

  • Babies are suffering with increased childhood illnesses and disease.
This new reality is not only negatively shaping motherhood, it's changing the landscape of community and human health as a whole.

"As a pre/post natal pregnancy chiropractor, I am beyond impressed with Maranda's Postpartum Certification content. It aligns with my thinking and knowledge that most of the dietary information given nowadays is inaccurate and simply not what our body's are meant to eat to thrive! And.... our postpartum mamas need our support and the knowledge to fuel their bodies as they recover and flourish into motherhood. This certification course is well-rounded, easy to follow and eye opening and needs to be shared with women everywhere."

- Stacey Lowe, Chiropractor
"I am in my 70s and still crave education in my field of work, and this course filled every gap I had. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a caregiver to postpartum moms and dads. The course layout and class structures are easy to follow and held my interest. This course can easily be taken and understood by anyone new to this information or by a professional. I have to say, there has been quite a bit of editing and adding to my existing program. There is no way to express how grateful I am. This course really did change my life and renewed my passion. Maranda Bower, I am honored."

- Terrie Lynne, Certified Postpartum Doula

"Maranda's style is accessible and engaging, and I loved the way that she backed up her knowledge with solid research.
The icing on the cake was receiving a copy of her fantastic 'Postpartum Nutrition Plan' which I will use regularly to support my clients in their homes so that they feel truly nourished and nurtured. Thanks again, Maranda, I feel so grateful for your wisdom and expertise."

- JOJO HOGAN, Maternal Postpartum Care Specialist

"Maranda has a knowledge about postpartum nutrition that is unsurpassed. As an herbalist I know that food and herbs are medicine and are vital in healing but after I became a doula...
I realized there was so little information on food in postpartum. What Maranda is teaching is vital knowledge for any doula or professional dealing with postpartum women. The Postpartum Nutrition Plan should be standard "going home" material with every woman who leaves a hospital with a baby (just like formula samples and blankets). This was an investment that will benefit my clients for years to come."

- STEFANIE FARIO, Herbalist, Certified Birth & Certified Postpartum Doula

"I loved the whole content, it's packed with up to date information, very practical and relatable.
Also Maranda is very clear and easy to understand (as English is not my first language). I would recommend this training to anyone working with mothers in the childbearing years and beyond. Thank you Maranda, you are such an inspiration and I will be always grateful for your work and for this opportunity to learn from you."

- KIM DEWEY, Postpartum Doula, Childcare specialist, Certified Yoga Teacher

"Maranda Bower is an absolute delight! Her vast knowledge, along with dedication to science and research makes this course invaluable for anyone serving clients in the postpartum period.
She manages to synthesize a huge amount of complex information into easy to understand bites. I am so grateful to have found this course and highly recommend it to anyone wishing to deepen their insights into postpartum healing."

- LISA NOBIS, Certifying Birth Doula

  • You are uncomfortable with digital, self-directed learning.

  • You believe that you are limited by your profession or that nutrition is out of your "scope of practice".

Root Cause Care
One of the biggest medical myths is that the body functions in separate parts rather than as a whole. In postpartum, the physiological shifts temporarily redefine digestion and alter absorption, impacting every aspect of the body.

Root Cause Care recognizes that an imbalance in nourishment creates long lasting symptoms that have been labeled as "normal". Depression, anxiety, bloating, fatigue, major hair loss, hormone imbalance, depletion, autoimmune issues, organ dysfunction, and so much more are all too common but far from normal.

In the Postpartum Nutrition Certification Program, you'll learn an evidence-based framework to supporting your clients at their foundational roots, helping prevent and eliminate these symptoms while creating balance and health.
When you join the team of professionals within the Postpartum Nutrition Certification Program, you'll walk away with:

  • The only functional nutrition certification program specific to postpartum physiology and psychology.

  • Lifetime community access with other professionals changing the face of postpartum, including additional ongoing trainings, special events, and expert coaching.

  • Evidence-based information backed by science, cultural traditions, and the stories of women and providers around the world.

  • Business support tools and methods to create your business or combine your new knowledge within your existing practice.

  • Support to heal your own motherhood journey and health (we believe that you are your first client).

Join the Nutritional Revolution to help all mothers recover fully.

Fequently Asked Questions
  • How much time do I need to set aside to complete this certification?
You need about 1-2 hours per week to stay on top of the certification. You'll also have about 4 weeks after the program finishes to complete any tests and work needed. This is to give us busy providers and mamas lots of space to enjoy, learn, and integrate the course fully.

  • What are my credentials after I graduate?
You will graduate with the title "Certified Postpartum Nutrition Professional". Your credentials are CPPNP and may be used at the end of your name.

  • Are the live calls recorded? What if I can't be there?
Absolutely! We have people joining us from all over the world so making sure we are accessible to everyone is top priority. All the calls are done live but recorded. And you can submit your questions in advance if you cannot be with us live.

  • How will this help me grow my career?
This certification may act as a stand-alone career or be combined with another expertise or profession. Many people use this to provide coaching services, teach classes, online programs, or even provide nutrition services. Your options are endless and we will show you how!

  • Are there trainings on how I can apply the knowledge from the certification program?
You bet. We provide case study coaching examples, scope of practice information, an entire library of business support tools, and even Mentorship Support options. So no matter where you are in business or what your dreams are in sharing this information, we are fully prepared to support you every step of the way.

  • Do I have to be a professional? What if I'm just starting? What if I'm a mom wanting this information?
Everyone is welcome. No prior experience or background in science, nutrition, traditional studies, or postpartum care is needed.

  • Why is there limited space in each cohort?
We want to provide the best learning environment possible for everyone. That means keeping cohort sizes small so that each individual gets their needs met.

  • What's required of me to get my certification?
No exams, lengthy reports, or evaluations from clients are needed. Each module requires a test of multiple choice and short answer questions for a complete assessment of understanding.

  • Does taking this certification make me a nutritionist or dietician?
Completing this certification program does not make you a nutritionist or dietician, and one must follow the strict guidelines provided to you by your state and country. This course does not provide clinical experience or the right/ability to practice medicine.

  • Is there access to support and community?
A program without support and community is worth pennies. We absolutely provide you with ongoing support and connection. So even after you graduate, you will always have access to your engaged community. No additional fees are required.

  • Do you offer scholarships?
The scholarship application opens after the course registration closes. As a head up, we have a lot of people applying and priority often goes to BIPOC women and those living in less privileged countries and communities. If you are on the wait-list, you'll be notified of the scholarships as soon as it goes live!

  • Does this program provide Continuing Education Credits for providers in the healthcare field?
Let's be honest, the process of becoming approved across multiple organizations is very limiting. Not only is it costly and time-consuming, it often requires strict adherence to outdated information (oiy do we have stories to share!). Our Certification Program meets the requirements for continuing education credits, and we have included a curriculum guide that you may use to submit for possible credits. If you don't have your Curriculum Guide yet, you can download one here.

  • I have questions. Whom do I contact?
We are happy to answer any questions you may have. You can contact our team at admin @ postpartumU.com
